Those are shipping totals, so plan around the pieces. A sectional that arrives in boxes is manageable. The same weight in one frame is the reason people end up paying movers by the hour.

Do cloud couches damage rental floors?

A cloud couch can dent carpet and scuff hard floors, mostly when it sits still for months or gets dragged. Felt or plastic pads under every foot, plus a small shift every few months, keep the damage in check.

CB2’s Lumis is the one to buy if you’re staying put. The frame is hardwood and the cushions are feather and down, which usually means regular fluffing. It’s also the priciest, and the resale numbers below show how much of that you might get back.

Resale is harder to pin down. One used CB2 Lumis 3-piece was listed on AptDeco for $2,000 against an estimated retail price of $4,498. That’s an asking price, not a sale, but it gives you a rough sense of how fast a sofa this size loses value.

Which size fits a small rental?
